The Darwin Stone
A superb brown-hued York stone block that until the demolition around 20 years ago was set into the stone work of a building located in Crayke, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
The beautifully hand-carved head is said to be of the famous naturalist, Charles Darwin.
The block would look amazing set into the masonry of either a new or restored building.
