Description

A stunningly beautiful Celtic Cross hand-carved from high quality York Stone and dating back to 1887, which was salvaged over 40 years ago during the re-construction of St. Augustine Church, Undercliffe, Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Back in the late 1980s the Celtic Cross was purchased by the owners of the significantly attractive York stone-built house in the city dating back to the late Victorian period, formerly built for Lady Hill, wife of Bradford woollen magnate Sir James Hill, and was placed in the front garden, where it remained undisturbed until recently when it was purchased by DANDELION.
