Description

Victorian cast-steel Blacksmith’s Swage Block mounted upon wrought-iron Stand. This and the two Anvils: {  DAN 3529 & DAN 3530 ] were salvaged over 50 years ago from a closed down Blacksmith’s Forge set high on a twisting hilly lane on the edge of the cold Pennine moorland overlooking renowned Thornton; the West Yorkshire village revered for being the birth place of the Bronte sisters: Charlotte, Emily, Anne world famous poets and novelists.
