DAN 4522

This Large Old Yorkshire Stone Trough was discovered virtually buried in deep mud at the corner of an uplands meadow in Upper Airedale where it has been used as a Cattle Drinking Trough, a natural spring running into it; the water then coursing over the D-shaped overflow.

There are some fine Mason’s tooling marks on the trough’s walls. It would indeed make a fantastic water feature or if filled with perennial or bulbs make a superb centre piece.
